OVERVIEW
Heritage Brew is a specialty coffee brand that celebrates traditional roasting methods and artisan craftsmanship. The founders wanted a visual identity that reflects authenticity while remaining modern and relevant. Our role was to translate the culture and heritage of coffee into a memorable brand system. The identity needed to feel warm, timeless, and distinctive.

CHALLENGE
Many coffee brands rely on similar aesthetics and generic packaging styles. Standing out in such a competitive market requires strong storytelling and a clear visual personality. The challenge was to build an identity that celebrates vintage inspiration while avoiding clichés.
WHAT WE DID
We created a brand system that combines classic typography, warm colors, and subtle textures inspired by traditional coffee culture. The result is a visual identity that feels handcrafted, authentic, and adaptable across packaging, digital platforms, and marketing materials.

Throughout the project we explored visual references from historic coffee packaging, traditional roaster labels, and vintage café signage. These references informed the design direction while keeping the brand visually modern.
The final system provides a flexible brand toolkit that allows the company to scale across packaging lines, cafés, and digital marketing while maintaining a cohesive identity.
WE WERE HAPPY TO SOLVE
We explored historical references from vintage coffee packaging, classic café signage, and traditional print labels used by early roasters. These influences helped shape the typographic direction and visual tone of the brand while ensuring the final identity still felt contemporary.
Texture and materiality also played a role in the brand language. Subtle grain patterns, warm tones, and handcrafted elements were introduced to evoke the tactile feeling associated with coffee culture. These details help create a brand experience that feels personal and inviting.
The resulting brand system gives the company a distinctive presence across packaging, cafés, and digital platforms. It communicates both heritage and quality while remaining flexible enough to support future product lines and collaborations.
